Romans, Gays, Lesbians, King James Version, God

Just recently President Obama signed into law that gays and lesbians can now serve in the military without being persecuted or looked down upon by being a person having a same sex partner.

In Romans chapter 1 in the King James Version the writer is inspired to put into words what is a very controversial issue in our word today in 2011.

Just recently President Obama signed into law that gays and lesbians can now serve in the military without being persecuted or looked down upon by being a person having a same sex partner.

But according to the word of God this kind of behavior is not condoned or approved by God.

The word of God in the book of Romans 1:23, 24 as translated in the King James Version describe man as being corruptible, unclean, and lustful in the heart.

The reason that man is described in this manner is reviled in Romans 1:24 as the writer begins to describe how women and men dishonor their bodies by having same sex relations.

Women having sex with women and men having sex with men as described in verse 26 the writer calls this vile affections.

In verse 21 the writer describes men and women as having vain imaginations and these imaginations cause a person to become foolish in their heart and believe its ok to have same sex relationships.

This passage in Romans also states in 1:28 that God gives this type person over to a reprobate mind.

If you look up reprobate in the word web online dictionary the word reprobate means reject, abandon to eternal damnation, express strong approval, and deviating from what is considered moral, right, proper or good.

This type of reprobate mindset persuades a person into lusting after fleshly desires and loving themselves and their same sex partners more than the God who created them. Romans 1:25

The book of Romans also describes this type person as being filled with deceit, debate, covetousness, backbiters, despiteful, proud, boasters, implacable, unmerciful, covenant breakers, disobedient to parents, and without natural affection.

Credit for the above description can be found in Romans 1:29-31.

With what the word of God states and what President Obama states by signing a law approving of Gays, Lesbian’s, concerning military service may speed up the end of time to come more quickly.

May God bless America and forgive those who trespass against the word of God.

Credit for the passage below is given the King James Version 2 Chronicles 7:14.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

As a Born Again Christian, I'm in total agreement with what you said based on the Word of God. I was also surprised to read this article because it's not the type of article that I have come to expect from you.

Wow, this is a controversial bee’s nest of a topic Darrell. Many people do not believe in God, and so will not see what is quoted as factual. Some others may believe in God, but think that man wrote the bible and added his own info to suit here and there, and so not take it literally. I am of the opinion that God would not have created any living beings that were not totally acceptable the way he made them, but I am sure some folks would disagree. Any beliefs that promote hate do not help world peace, maybe this is what the president had in mind.
